What I Loved And When I Loved It

Interesting thing I saw from writer Susan Orlean today on Twitter--she posted a series of tweets about what she loved best about 2010. In that inspirational spirit, here's my list, in no particular order:
  • Being able to use my right hand again
  • Finally getting a Mac
  • Discovering Alt.Latino podcasts
  • Meeting my boss
  • Trying trapeze
  • Living in my City, as always
  • Rediscovering red wine
  • My team, the one everyone thought was a joke, winning the World Series
  • The Yankees not winning the playoffs
  • The extra time that I got to spend with my brother in September because he was working up here
  • My friends, virtual and live
  • My Visconti pen
  • Jon Stewart and "The Daily Show"'s impact on the news
  • The books I read, particularly "The Lacuna"
  • The movies that I saw, particularly "The King's Speech"
  • Trying new things and failing, like cooking goose
  • The orchid that I bought in August that still has one lone bloom on it
  • The concerts I saw this year--Huey Lewis, Rufus Wainwright, etc
  • Trying on a wedding dress, even if it was probably for the last time
  • Falling in love with anejo tequila
  • Learning new words in Italian and Spanish ("Attraversiamo," "Que milagro")
  • Writing...one more year
Tomorrow--what I look forward to in 2011. Onward.
